Amsterdam is the charming capital city of the Netherlands. It is full of canals, bridges and is also home to thousands of bicycles used by commuters. Most tourists visit Amsterdam between April and September, when the days are longer and temperatures are milder than during other months. But the one thing that's constant about Amsterdam weather is that it's unpredictable. There is never a guarantee of staying dry. So take your sunglasses but also remember to take a raincoat too.
If you do visit Amsterdam try and see Anne Frankhuis home. It is where she hid from the Nazis and wrote her diary during the Second World War. For more than two years Anne was in hiding. She lived in fear for her life in the back part of her father's office building. The hardships the Frank family faced, and the hopes and dreams of this brave girl are well preserved and portrayed.
